Legal 02 — Cookie schedule

Cookie policy

What cookies are, which categories this site uses, and how to accept, decline, or withdraw your consent. Effective date: 1 October 2026.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Cookies let a site remember things between pages and visits — for example, that you have already answered a consent banner, or how you reached the site. "Similar technologies" such as browser local storage work in much the same way, and we treat them the same. Cookies are set either by the site you are visiting (first-party) or by another provider whose content is embedded in it (third-party).

2. Cookie categories used on this site

Category Purpose Duration
Strictly necessary Required for the site to function. Includes the record of your cookie-consent choice, stored in local storage under a site-specific key, and any cookies the embedded Google Maps frame needs to load. These are not used for tracking or marketing. Consent record: persists until you clear it or use "Cookie settings". Map cookies: set by Google for the session or as described in Google's own policies.
Preferences Remembers choices you make so you do not have to repeat them — currently limited to your consent decision. Until you change or clear your choice.
Analytics If you accept, helps us understand in aggregate how the site is used — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and where the site is slow — so we can improve it. No attempt is made to identify individual visitors. Typically up to 24 months, depending on the analytics provider.
Advertising If you accept, allows Microsoft Advertising to serve, measure, and personalise advertisements on this site, limit how often you see the same advert, and detect fraud. See our advertising policy for detail and opt-out routes. Typically up to 13 months, as set by Microsoft.

3. How the consent banner works

The first time you visit this site, a banner appears at the bottom of the page explaining that we use cookies, with "Accept" and "Decline" buttons and a link to this policy. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key aandevelopments-ne-cookie-consent. Once you have chosen, the banner will not be shown again on that browser. Declining restricts the site to strictly necessary storage only; analytics and advertising cookies are not set while your choice is "declined".

4. How to withdraw or change your consent

  • Click the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page. This clears your stored choice and brings the banner back so you can decide again.
  • Or clear your browser's cookies and site data for this website, then reload — the banner will reappear on your next visit.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything processed while your consent was in place.

5. Browser-level cookie controls

Every mainstream browser lets you see, block, or delete cookies, either for all sites or per site:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies.
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.

You can also use "private" or "incognito" windows, which discard cookies when closed. Note that blocking all cookies may affect features that rely on remembering your choices.

6. Third-party cookies beyond our control

When the embedded Google Maps frame loads, Google may set its own cookies subject to Google's privacy policies. When advertising content is served, Microsoft may set cookies under its own policies — see our advertising policy. We do not control these cookies and they are governed by the respective providers' policies.
